Vinyl record cabinets LP storage furniture with doors, turntable tops and your finish

A vinyl record cabinet is the furniture piece of the category: closed or partly closed storage for hundreds of LPs, usually with a turntable on top. SpinForge builds record cabinets for furniture retailers, audio brands and private label sellers — credenzas, sideboards and console cabinets with LP-sized compartments, in solid wood or veneered and laminated MDF.

  • LP compartments sized for 12-inch jackets
  • Turntable top with cable cut-outs
  • Sliding, hinged or tambour doors
  • Mid-century, modern and industrial styles

Record cabinet styles

  • Sideboard / credenza — long, low cabinets with two to four LP bays and doors; turntable and speakers on top.
  • Console with open bays — open LP compartments beside a door-covered section for electronics.
  • Mid-century — tapered legs, slatted or cane doors, rounded edges and warm veneers.
  • Tall cabinets — vertical units with stacked LP shelves and a drop front, for small rooms.

Construction and materials

Cabinet bodies are made from solid wood, plywood or MDF / particleboard finished in wood veneer, melamine or paper laminate; legs can be wood or metal. Inside, LP bays are typically around 13 in (330 mm) high and deep, with fixed or removable dividers. Electronics sections can include rear ventilation and cable holes. Doors can be hinged, sliding or tambour, with soft-close hardware on request.

A full cabinet of records is heavy, so panel thickness, back panels and leg fixing are specified per design, and anti-tip hardware can be included. If you sell in a market with formaldehyde rules for composite wood, tell us — documentation is confirmed per order on the quotation.

Flat-pack or assembled

Flat-pack (knock-down) cabinets keep freight and returns manageable for e-commerce and big-box retail; assembled cabinets suit furniture stores and showroom programs. Both are packed with edge and corner protection; flat-pack units include a labeled hardware pack and instructions in the languages you need.

Frequently asked questions

How many records does a vinyl record cabinet hold?

It depends on the number and width of bays. As a planning figure about 6 LPs fit per inch of bay width, so a cabinet with four 13-inch bays holds roughly 300 LPs.

Can the cabinet also hold a turntable and amplifier?

Yes. Tops are sized for a turntable and speakers, and a closed section with cable holes can house an amplifier or phono stage.

Do you offer cabinets with doors?

Yes — hinged, sliding, tambour and slatted door options are available.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on material, finish, branding and packaging (stock designs in neutral packaging start lower than custom sizes, custom finishes or printed retail boxes); lead time depends on materials, finishing and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.

Are your products certified or load-tested?

We do not display certification badges or publish test data on this site. Requirements such as composite-wood formaldehyde rules, furniture stability or material declarations depend on your market and product; tell us what your market requires and we confirm on the quotation what documentation can be provided for your specific order. Load ratings are set per design and confirmed per SKU — ask on the inquiry form.
