Record storage box types

  • Lidded board boxes — rigid or corrugated board boxes with a separate lid; stackable, light and printable.
  • Flip-top cases — boxes with a hinged lid that opens back so records can be flipped; often PU-covered or wrapped board.
  • Carry cases — handles and latches for DJs and collectors on the move; covered board, plywood or aluminum-frame cases.
  • 7-inch singles boxes — smaller boxes, often with alphabet or genre dividers.

Materials and construction

Board boxes are made from rigid greyboard wrapped in printed paper or from corrugated board; buyers who want archival-style boxes can specify the board and paper grades they require, and we confirm on the quotation what material documentation is available — we do not claim archival ratings on our own authority. Cases use wrapped board, plywood or aluminum frames with PU, fabric or laminate coverings, plus handles, latches and corner protectors.

Sizing and capacity

For LPs, internal dimensions of roughly 13 × 13 in (330 × 330 mm) suit jackets in outer sleeves; 7-inch boxes need around 7.5–8 in (190–200 mm). Capacity is set by internal length — about 6 single LPs per inch as a planning figure — and box weight when full should stay manageable to lift. See the specs & selection guide for the full table.

Frequently asked questions

Are your record storage boxes acid-free or archival?

We do not claim archival or acid-free ratings on this site. Tell us the board and paper grades you require and we confirm on the quotation what material documentation can be provided.

Can boxes be made for 7-inch singles?

Yes — 7-inch boxes and cases, with or without dividers.

Can you print our label artwork on the box?

Yes, full-wrap printing and foil logos are available on board boxes and covered cases.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on material, finish, branding and packaging (stock designs in neutral packaging start lower than custom sizes, custom finishes or printed retail boxes); lead time depends on materials, finishing and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.

Are your products certified or load-tested?

We do not display certification badges or publish test data on this site. Requirements such as composite-wood formaldehyde rules, furniture stability or material declarations depend on your market and product; tell us what your market requires and we confirm on the quotation what documentation can be provided for your specific order. Load ratings are set per design and confirmed per SKU — ask on the inquiry form.
